The compositions on The Antidote Suite are experiments to modernize commonly known traits of meditative music, identified as repetitive rhythms and drones. Some songs can induce meditative relaxation to aid sleep or reflection, while other pieces may inspire you to get up, get out, and do something. We offer a listen into possible meditative sounds of black practices and aesthetics. Meditative music doesn’t have to put us to sleep. Some of us like to whistle while we work. The musical theme is entirely inspired by the visual works of the 6 artists featured in The Black Index. Dennis Delgado, Alicia Henry, Kenyatta A.C. Hinkle, Titus Kaphar, Whitfield Lovell, and Lava Thomas

The music is featured solely in this video, but will be available on CD and www.Bandcamp.com in February.

Enjoy this compelling film created by Jonathan Woods in his reflection of our music.
